CENTERING PREGNANCY

Dodson Avenue Community Health Center/Centering Pregnancy in Chattanooga, TN has incorporated behavioral health consultant, Dr. Jean Cobb to collaborate on anxiety, depression, postpartum blues, and other mental health issues. Patients are currently being screened to identify and assist mothers as-needed during their pregnancy.

A nurse practitioner assists with Centering Pregnancy. We continue to have an excellent relationship with UTCOM (University of Tennessee College of Medicine) Department of OB/GYN faculty, Hamilton County Health Department, and East Chattanooga Improvement Association as a resource and for referrals.

After the hiring of more staff, we will work to open a Centering Site at Southside Community Health Center (our sister location in the Southside of Chattanooga)—which has been requested of our pregnant patients with currently see at this facility. We are excited about the potential expansion and continued growth of Centering Pregnancy at both facilities.
